The Ford Bronco’s Grand Return: What We Know So Far

Ford enthusiasts are anxiously awaiting the return of the much-loved Bronco, due to arrive soon. Here’s what’s known, so far, about the rugged ride that has been missing from the lineup for far too long.

Exterior

Details about the exterior of the 2021 Bronco note that the body will have a square, box-like look highlighted with retro styling. For off-road adventures, the Bronco will have a removable roof and the convenience of removable doors. The Bronco will be available with the option of two or four doors that can be removed. There will also be an assortment of exterior paint colors for the Bronco body to complement the new look. The roof will have a choice of two colors. Ford has confirmed is there will be a hybrid powertrain.

Interior and Trims

The interior has been designed and equipped with extra durable materials and parts as well as components that are waterproof to protect interior electronics whenever the doors and roof have been removed. For trims, it is anticipated there will be at least five.

Under the Hood

The Bronco will have plenty of power and pep with choices in its powertrain. Two will be available – a 2.7-liter twin-turbo V-6 and a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. There is the possibility of a third option, which will be a seven-speed manual transmission fitted with a special gear referred to as a “crawler” specifically designed for off-road excursions. Other options that may be forthcoming include a 2.0-liter and 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The unveiling and availability of the 2021 Bronco is just around the corner. Get ready to be impressed.
