The 2019 Explorer is only smaller than Ford’s full-size Expedition SUV, making it either a midsize SUV or a full-size crossover. Either way, the Explorer has room for three rows, seven seats, and other features that make it a good choice for a family vacation vehicle.

Interior Space
The 2019 Explorer starts out with 600 litres of cargo space behind the third row, a remarkably good number for its class. With fewer passengers, you can store up to 2313 litres by folding both rows. Depending on the trim, you can also drop the capacity from seven to six by replacing the second-row bench with two captain’s chairs.

Towing Power
The 2019 Ford Explorer has three engines to choose from. The smaller options are less expensive and more efficient, but the bigger options have more power and a towing limit of 2,270 kilograms. You also get Trailer Sway Control, a feature that adjusts the rear brakes to compensate when the wind blows the trailer to one side or the other.
Â
High-Tech Features
The new 2019 Explorer comes with several features to keep everyone entertained during a long car trip. The infotainment system is now compatible with Alexa, plus you can have a Wi-Fi hotspot set up so you don’t have to use up your data plan.
These features and a lot more are what help make the Explorer a great choice for families that want to go on long road trips. With space to spare, high-tech features, and a good towing power, the Explorer may be just the thing for your garage.
