The 2018 model gets a significant refresh with a new automatic transmission and new adaptive suspension dampers to improve overall ride quality. Updated Design

The 2018 Ford Mustang embodies a design evolution that has culminated in a modern classic. Both its hood and grille have been lowered to better complement a wider mouth and give the car a more athletic look. Sleeker lines extend across the body to a more muscular rear fascia and available quad-tipped dual exhausts. Despite these changes, the pony car still retains the classic Mustang look.

Better Powertrain

Ford has discontinued the Mustang’s V6 model in favor of a 5.2-liter V8 engine that cranks out 526 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque. The updated V8 also boasts a redesigned manual gearbox with a two-mode exhaust system.

The other engine option is the 2.3-liter EcoBoost, which now features a transient overboost function to maximize gear change outputs. And thanks to its Ford-patented technology, the new optional 10-speed automatic transmission is simply the best automatic version to grace a Mustang. Finally, you can customize your experience with five drive modes: Normal, Snow/Wet, Track, Sport, or Drag Mode.
