Posted on June 26, 2020
The 2019 Ford Edge has had some exciting new changes. These are a few of the new features you’re sure to love.
Safety Technologies
The new Ford Edge comes standard with a suite of safety technologies that make driving safer and more enjoyable. Some of the safety technologies include adaptive cruise control with lane centering, precollision assist with pedestrian detection, a blind-spot information system, auto high beams, and a rear camera.
You can also opt for available safety features such as evasive steering assist, which helps you avoid a collision with a vehicle that is stopped in front of you, and adaptive cruise control with stop and go, which can bring the vehicle to a complete stop when traffic begins to slow around you. This system can also accelerate back up to your set speed once traffic begins moving again.
A New ST Trim Level
The 2019 Edge will now come in another trim level, the ST. The ST is powered by a 2.7-liter V-6 EcoBoost engine that offers a wonderful 335 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. This is paired with an eight-speed transmission that has been specially tuned for this engine. It has a different front fascia than the other Edge trim levels. You can expect to see a slightly larger front grille with gloss-black painted mesh.
The 2019 Ford Edge ST has a sport-tuned suspension and road-gripping all-wheel-drive. You’ll even get racecar-inspired paddle shifters to allow you to change gears quicker.
