Whatever road trip you can dream up, the 2020 Explorer is ready to take you and six other people on vacation. Completely redesigned for extra power, along with a sporty feel and look, the Explorer combines comfort and cargo room with modern features that make your longest or your shortest drives a memorable experience.

It’s Got the Brains…

For something off the beaten path, the Explorer’s new Terrain Management System has seven drive modes easily selected from a dial in the center console. Normal, trail, deep snow/sand, slippery, sport, tow/haul, and eco mode give you customized traction control for wherever you want to take your Explorer. You’ll ride in supreme comfort getting there but can transform into an adventure vehicle when you take it off-road.

The Explorer’s interior features standard front and rear climate control and an available twin-panel moonroof. There are three power points plus second-row USB ports to charge your devices. If you have the optional FordPass Connect, your Explorer has its own 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot for up to 10 gadgets. Even the longest trip is pleasant with these amenities.

The 2020 Explorer is equipped with standard rear-wheel drive for athletic suspension and increased towing power. When you hook up your camper for a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, you’ll appreciate the 600-pound increase in towing capacity. Combined with AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control, the Explorer is capable of safely towing up to 5,600 pounds.
