The 2017 Ford Fusion Energi is attracting plenty of attention. For one thing, it’s a plug-in hybrid. While that’s enough to excite some buyers, Ford also gave its Fusion Energi a new look inside and out. Excellent Fuel Economy
It’s not surprising that one of the main selling points of the 2017 Ford Fusion Energi is its fuel economy. With a fully charged battery, the car can go up to 21 miles solely on electric power. With the combination of electricity and gasoline, the Energi gets up to 97 miles per gallon equivalent. The total range with electric and gasoline is 610 miles.
Plenty of Power
The powertrain on the Energi consists of a two-liter four-cylinder engine that’s mated to an electric motor. A lithium-ion battery pack provides power to the motor. Together, the engine and motor generate 195 horsepower. The car relies on a six-speed automatic transmission to send power to the front wheels.
A New Platinum Trim
The newest Energi comes in three trims: the SE Luxury, Titanium, and Platinum. The ultra-luxurious Platinum trim is new for 2017. Enjoy the comfort and convenience of upgraded leather seating, a power-adjustable steering wheel, a sunroof, and heated and ventilated front seats.
