3 Safety Features that Make Ford the Ideal Family Choice

Ford continues to strive to make their vehicles some of the safest on the road. With both active and passive safety features available, here are some that make Ford the ideal family choice.

  1. Ford Co-Pilot360

The new Co-Pilot360 system for 2019 combines several advanced safety features and is an available feature on many of Ford’s new models. This suite includes pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, a blind-spot information system that warns drivers of vehicles in the blind-spot, lane-keeping system, automatic high beams, and a rearview camera.

  1. Inflatable Rear Safety Belts

The Fusion is the first vehicle in the midsize sedan class to offer the option for inflatable rear outboard seat belts. These innovative belts will hold passengers in their seats and help to distribute crash-force energy across more of the torso. These seat belts reduce the risk of injury, and they also provide more support for the head and neck.

  1. Enhanced Active Park Assist

The optional Active Park Assist system will scan for an available parking spot using ultrasonic sensors. The sensors will measure your distance from parked vehicles while you slowly drive by, and once it identifies a spot, it will signal the driver to stop and accept assistance. All the driver needs to do is control the shifting, the gas, and the brake while their Ford takes care of the rest. It will smoothly parallel park or back you into a perpendicular parking spot.

These standard and optional safety features work to keep your family safe in your Ford.
