2020 Expedition: King Ranch or Platinum?

If you’re shopping for a new Ford truck but you’re not sure which model to choose, consider the 2020 Expedition King Ranch and Platinum. Each SUV is equipped with a variety of features to suit individual preferences.

Engine Power

There’s no shortage of power in the King Ranch or Platinum. Both are equipped with a 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine with Auto Stop-Start technology. The engine delivers 400 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque and is paired with a 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission.

2020 King Ranch versus Platinum Interior

There are a few interior and exterior differences between the King Ranch and Platinum. Changes for the King Ranch include leather front captain’s chairs that are heated and ventilated. Optional features include inflatable rear safety belts for second row outboard seating. This feature is standard on the Platinum.

The plush leather interior is extended in the Platinum to include the steering wheel, instrument panel, second-row seats, and armrests. The Platinum also includes the addition of Active Motion technology, supportive contour design, and multi-contour front seats.

2020 King Ranch versus Platinum Exterior

The exterior differences are subtle, beginning with the Stone Gray color of the roof rack side rails on the King Ranch, power-deployed running boards, rear bumper skid plate, and the “W” design badging. The King Ranch features a chrome grill enhanced with silver lining accents.

The Platinum is fitted with a satin aluminum grille highlighted with chrome accents. Roof rack side rails are brightly colored, and 22-inch wheels were added to the 2020 trim.

Both SUVs provide power, performance, and technology features to ensure a confident ride. Test drive each to find the perfect fit for you.
