Almost every specification of the F-150 has been upgraded for the new 2021 model. However, the most fundamental change is the stiffer, wider boxed steel frame giving extra strength and stability, coupled with all-aluminum bodywork for lightness.

Whatever your performance needs from a truck, there's an F-150 powertrain to fit. The base level offers a 3.3L V6 gas engine making a healthy 290 horsepower, paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission and a choice between rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. This configuration makes for a towing capacity of 3,630kg, but if you need more, the 5.0L V8 cranks out 400 horsepower and takes the towing capability up to 6,350kg. Other options include a 3.0L diesel V6 pushing out an impressive 440lb-ft of torque, along with a hybrid gas powertrain that pairs a 3.5L twin-turbo V6 with dual electric motors to give a combined output of 430 horsepower and 570lb-ft.

Infotainment was once a weak spot for the half ton truck market, but the F-150 changes all of that. Depending on the trim, there's a choice of 8" or 12" touchscreens with full smartphone integration, navigation, Wi-Fi hotspot, and real-time weather and traffic reports.
